Since joining the Castleford Tigers, Greg Eden has made 20 appearances for his club side, touching down a remarkable 33 times for the Super League leaders.


Eden, who arrived from the NRL side Brisbane Broncos at the close-season, was shipped in to replace Denny Solomona who had jumped ship last year in a bitter cross-code move to Sale Sharks.

He is thirty three years of age. He has now planned to quit the game and start off an alcohol retail entrepreneurial initiative in Los Angeles.

Aviva Premiership Rugby Football Union club the Sale Sharks have appointed a new general manager for the team in Jeremy Butler.

The former chief executive of Tranmere Rovers will begin work at his new position in the Manchester club this week.

The 46 year old ran a sports media business for over 20 years before he took over at the League Two club and now, after successfully turning a corner for the Rovers, has moved on to the Rugby Football Union club.

Leicester Tigers managed to win third victory consecutively and the latest was over the Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership.

It was all due to the efforts of Laurence Pearce by which Leicester got a break and a lead by 20-3 which was due to a penalty trying from the close scrum. In the second half the game of Sale Sharks improved and it was all due to the efforts of Tom Arscott who stuck a passing move.
