Rugby Football Union Championship club Bristol Rugby has announced the signing of hooker Marc Jones from Aviva Premiership Rugby Football Union club the Sale Sharks.

The club announced that the former Wales Under-20 international has put pen to paper on a two year contract at the club and will link up with his new team mates at Ashton Gate following the end of the current season.

The 27 year old Welshman made a staggering 158 appearances for the Aviva Premiership giants during his ten year stint at the club after making his debut in 2005.

Mark Cueto had admitted that the Sale Sharks will have to be prepared to gear up on Friday night if they want a repetition of the thrashing they gave to Exeter Chiefs in the last season.

The Sale Sharks went to Sandy park back in April where they made their position in the European Rugby Champions Cup of the season as they has a great eight-try victory. Even though they have that in their mind, the Chiefs are ready to face the guns this season in the Aviva Premiership Rugby table.

The first win of Sale Sharks came against London Welsh of the season of Premiership. Vadim Cobilas and Tom Arscott had tries with a break 0f 15-3 lead. The Exiles came back strongly. Nic Reynolds came after the interval. Arscott had a hat trick with two more. The win became extra glossy with Luke McLean and Tom Brady. The defeat of home run by Sale ended like that.

Dan Braid, the captain of the Aviva Premiership Rugby Football Union club the Sale Sharks, has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a knee injury.

The former New Zealand international has already undergone surgery on the damaged knee, albeit a minor one, and will sit out the remaining two matches for Sale in the Premiership against the Leicester Tigers followed by the London Irish on the final day of the season.

Ex-Sale boss Kingsley Jones will coach Russia for World Cup. The ex-Wales captain, who left Sale this month after nearly seven years, is currently in South Africa helping the Bulls build ahead of the Super 15.

Jones has been linked with rejoining ex-Sale boss Philippe Saint-Andre at Toulon and with the Dragons coach job.

“If I’m honest I fancy the opportunity of going to Toulon,” Kingsley Jones said.
