Edinburgh has signed two players from the Sale Sharks in the recent transfer window. The pair become head coach Michael Bradley’s first additions since the former Ireland captain took charge earlier this month.

Cox, 26, who can also operate on the flank, has represented England from schools to under-21 level and made 12 Premiership appearances last season.

Ex-Sale boss Kingsley Jones will coach Russia for World Cup. The ex-Wales captain, who left Sale this month after nearly seven years, is currently in South Africa helping the Bulls build ahead of the Super 15.

Jones has been linked with rejoining ex-Sale boss Philippe Saint-Andre at Toulon and with the Dragons coach job.
